Somatherapy Institute is now hosting Morning Yoga beginning December 9th and will happen every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Class starts bright and early at 6:30 a.m and lasts an hour.
Our yoga instructor, Amy Brassard, has been practicing yoga for 5 years and is in the process of becoming a Registered Yoga Teacher 200. She is a student at the Bodden Institute for Yoga and Holistic Studies, a Registered Yoga School under the Yoga Alliance. She has a personal passion for health and fitness, and enjoys sharing this with her students.
Amy will be teaching Acu-Yoga, which combines the complementary systems of Acupressure and Yoga. This style of yoga incorporates the use of acupressure points throughout the body with your asanas (postures) in order to relieve tension and stress. This is a gentle healing practice where you will be able to use the postures to regain energy, without any needles involved!
