Kathleen Shyptycki CMT HHP

Kathleen has been a massage therapist since 1989. She is a graduate of the Desert Resorts School of Somatherapy. She has extensive experience in all aspects of massage and body work and is currently working as a therapist in her own business. She has achieved a Master Level in Reiki and  and Certified Ayervedic Practitioner. She has extensive teaching and practitioner experience in a variety of bodywork and holistic modalities.

Robert Edelburg DC

Dr. Robert Edelburg started on the healer's journey in the 80's with training in Reiki, Craniosacral Therapy, Myofascial Release Therapy and Massage Therapy. He returned to school and graduated with his doctorate in Chiropractic in 2000 from Western States Chiropractic College. After graduation, Dr. Edelburg moved to Palm Springs where he established the Edelburg Chiropractic and Wellness Center. He practices in a multidisciplinary setting and is very excited about teaching at the Somatherapy Institute and the amazing people coming to participate.

Diane Charron CMT HHP

Diane is a graduate of Desert Resorts School of Somatherapy and has over 2000 hours of training in a variety of massage modalities. She graduated in 2008 with an Associate of Science Degree in Anatomy and Physiology also studying Sociology and Psychology. Diane is passionate about the energy modalities such as Polarity and Crania-sacral therapies.

Students learn to give a cohesive, one-hour Swedish massage, using the strokes of the Swedish repertoire. Students will also learn contraindications and indications, basic muscular anatomy, and introduction to business and ethics. The class consists of 60 hours of hands-on training plus 75 hours of mandatory clinic.
Requirements for completion: At the end of this class the student will give a final massage for a grade. To successfully complete this class, students must achieve a grade of 70% or better with the hands-on practical exam. Student must also have completed all hours for this course and fulfill his or her 75 hours internship in the Somatherapy student clinic.
